Responsibilities

A good Real Estate Agent has a personable nature and a desire to help others. In combination with one another, these qualities allow Agents to engage with clients in a positive manner and encourage client loyalty for their future real estate needs. You must have a strong interest in local real estate and market trends, through research and analysis, allowing you to provide clients and prospective clients with beneficial advice regarding their buying or selling needs. Essential responsibilities include:

  • Provide guidance and assist sellers and buyers in marketing and purchasing property for the right price under the best terms
  • Determine clients’ needs and financials abilities to propose solutions that suit them
  • Intermediate negotiation processes, consult clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, contracts/requirements and other related matters, ensuring a fair and honest dealing
  • Perform comparative market analysis to estimate properties’ value
  • Prospect for potential sellers and list their homes for sale
  • Promote sales through advertisements, open houses and listing services
  • Display and market real property to possible buyers
  • Prepare necessary paperwork (contracts, leases, deeds, closing statements etc.)
  • Maintain and update listings and available properties for sale
  • Cooperate with appraisers, escrow companies, lenders and home inspectors
  • Develop networks and cooperate with attorneys, mortgage lenders and contractors
  • Remain knowledgeable about real estate markets and best practices

 Requirements and skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills to close deals
  • Ability to multitask, manage time and prioritize activities
  • Great organization skills to be able to create various schedules, timelines and budgets
  • Ability to work independently when making important decisions
  • Great honesty and integrity skills
  • Outstanding computer skills for preparing presentations and drafting property sale documentations
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Real Estate Agent or Broker license
